False Bear

A false bear foraging for food.

The False Bear is an animal that is not a bear at all, but a species of modern day pantodont descended from a prehistoric Titanoides (a large, bear-like herbivorous mammal) that survived and remained (mostly) unchanged. It is a peaceful and gentle animal, unlike true bears, about as peaceful as the aquatic manatee, feeding on nothing but leaves, shrubs, and berries. It lives in Western USA areas, including California.
