That battle took place offshore of Hong Kong.
Jaegers ([ˈjɛːɡɐ], Jäger, Hunter) are a special type of mobile weapon created by the Jaeger Program. The Jaegers were the most effective first and last line of defense against the kaijus, and are perfect to aid the rebelling Kaijus, during the Kaiju Crisis.
Also after the Kaiju Crisis, the Jaegers became popular again due to the usage of solar, hydroelectric and wind power, even Jaegers that are Mark I, Mark II and Mark III, instead of running into nuclear reactors due to developing cancer, and also, they aren't used for military (which it thus reopened Shatterdomes, and built new Shatterdomes), but also for farming giant vegetables (like snozzcumbers), petting kaijus, building bgger buildings and as a sporting equipment for sports that involve giant robots.
Today, Jaegers can fight against another Jaegers of enemy countries during World War III, but ever since the vampires were threatening all kinds of sapient species, the vampires also used Jaegers to combat non-vampire Jaegers, but due to the presence of giant vampires, dragons, and celebrity giantesses, they are very good at killing them, and is better to be teamed up with a kaiju, and optionally, a giant robot or two (mostly Jaegers). Also, they are now improved, and more better than ever. Meanwhile, some Jaegers are increasingly and commercially available, and are produced not only by the International Treaty Organization of Sapient Species, but also by major robotic companies.
Ever since there are no child Jaeger pilots in the Kaiju Crisis and World War III, the first child Jaeger pilots, and the most famous Jaeger pilots, are Sophie Roberts, aged 10, and her little brother, Marcus Roberts, aged 8. They control a child-reccommended Mark V Jaeger called Sunlight Bash, representing California, and they fought an Imperium Vampirus-controlled kaiju called Dracule alone, but they are very smart, clever, and their Jaeger is strong enough to defeat it. That battle took place in Shanghai during the Intervention of Shanghai in order to help the ITOSS forces to take out jiang shis that threaten the city. It happened on July 5, 2035, at the middle of a rainstorm.
